Our Advice Process

Understanding your goals, aspirations and lifestyle dreams is the most important part of our advice process. It forms the basis of the plans we create to help you live the life you want. Getting to know your adviser before committing to your personal plan is the first step. For this reason, your first meeting does not cost anything and we will not place expectations on you. After all, it’s your life and your money and you need to feel comfortable. To ensure you have the best experience there are a number of steps we go through before formulating your personal financial advice with you.

1.  Initial Meeting read more

At our first meeting we get to know each other and find out whether we’re a good fit. Together, we simply talk about:
– your lifestyle and financial goals
– what and who is important to you
– where you stand financially
– what you want your money to do for you
We’ll tell you about the services we provide, ways we can help and answer any questions you may have.
Should you wish to proceed to a strategy meeting, we will also take a closer look at your financial position and get into the details. The more information and insight you can share with us, the better we can ensure we cover all bases for your strategy meeting. There is a cost for the strategy meeting which will be quoted at your initial meeting.

2. Strategy Meeting read more

Based on the information you provide we’ll take the time to review and match against your lifestyle and financial goals, circumstances and priorities. We’ll use this information to outline the areas where we believe our advice can be of benefit.
This meeting will allow you to get a good feel for how we can help and also outline the costs involved to proceed further with a comprehensive financial plan (also known as a statement of advice).  A flat fee will be quoted outlining the cost to proceed with the agreed areas of advice. We will also provide an advice agreement which we ask that you sign and return once you are happy to proceed. In the meantime if you still have questions we are more than happy to answer these prior to you committing to a personal financial plan (statement of advice).

3. Advice Presentation & Implementation Meeting read more

Once we have received your signed advice agreement, we will then prepare our detailed recommendations and meet again to present your personal financial plan (also known as statement of advice). This usually takes about 2 weeks from the time we receive your instructions.
At this meeting you will receive your personal financial plan which is a very comprehensive document containing all of the advice recommendations along with information and disclosures relating to any financial products. It is important to take your time understanding this document and we encourage you to ask as many questions as you need. It is our responsibility to ensure that our advice is transparent and is your best interest.
Any paperwork required to implement the advice will also be prepared for this meeting.

4. Check-in meeting read more

Approximately 6 weeks after receiving advice, where there have been recommended changes made to your finances, we will meet again to confirm these have been implemented correctly. This will also provide a good opportunity to answer any questions you may have about your new financial plan.

5. Ongoing Advice & Regular Review Meetings read more

We won’t just give you advice and leave it for you to follow on your own – we can professionally implement your chosen strategies on your behalf and ensure they are operating effectively. In order to do this we offer a range of ongoing service programs to suit both your needs and your budget.
